Obviously really looking forward to this weekend's racing, but when I saw a post saying Round 5 it dawned on me (I may or may not be a slow puzzler) that we're only half way through the season!
For the community, I'm guessing you're also loving the longer season rather than thinking less would be more?
For the team (and I appreciate this may wait until Monday) but how does it feel having done a bunch of racing and still just being half way? And at a new venue, none the less.
Hey Matt
Really good point - yeah, round 5, it dawned on us I think when we arrived here, that we're halfway though the season. I think the two emotions for me are a sense of relief that we've got this far. We've a few good results under our belt and everyone is in a pretty good place and the team as a whole is in a good place. If I'm honest the biggest part of the relief from my side is that the logistics have worked - the bikes are working even though they were very new, all of the planning and getting everyone to the events has all happened in a good way (despite a couple of little hiccups!). So definitely a sense of relief, but then there's also a sense of excitement for what's to come, that we still get to do all of this again! We've so many learnings, and as you know how we operate, we always take what we've learnt and progress from it, as individuals and as a team - which we'll take into the next few rounds. So there's a huge sense of excitement going forward, into the next five races!

Hey Matt I'm a big fan of the longer season. Its not longer in terms of duration but its longer in terms of the number of races. I think more opportunity, more races is great. I love it. But definitely, coming towards the end of the first block of racing, I really need that summer break. Which I'm very thankful for, particularly in my role, responsible for the whole team. It's hard to stay on top of the workload when I'm racing every weekend. So it will be great to have some time to regroup at home and put things in place for next year with the team and catch up on everything else I should be doing! But I love more races, its super cool and seems like its going to continue that way for the years to come!
Joe :)
Personally I'm enjoying the longer season as a viewer, I'm quite used to F1 having so many races, so it's a nice increase. On the other hand, I'm sure it's hard on the riders for everything from having to travel so much as well as more risk of injuries etc. And for the IFR team in terms of logistics and costs. Really looking forward to this Week's race at one of my locals, good luck everyone!
